Mr. Andrews joined Pan American Silver in 2009, following the acquisition of Aquiline Resources Inc., where he had previously worked for three years as Environmental Manager. He is a Chemical Engineer and holds a Master’s Degree in Environmental Management from the University of New South Wales.
Prior to joining Pan American, Mr. Andrews held various roles in sustainable development and mine permitting in Latin America and Australia. He has 18 years of professional experience managing sustainability programs for industrial and mining projects and speaks fluent Spanish.
Ms. Cordero joined Pan American Silver in May 2006 and has been in charge of the Company’s Investor Relations efforts since 2007. Her duties include the interaction with institutional and retail investors, sell-side and buy-side analysts, the media and the general public. In addition, Ms. Cordero oversees the Company’s marketing and promotional campaigns. Ms. Cordero is a Certified Investor Relations Professional (CIRI/Ivey School of Business). She holds a Diploma of Commerce and Production from the Humboldt Institute of Technology, Lima – Peru and is fluent in Spanish, English and German.
Mr. Couturier joined Pan American Silver in August 2002. He previously worked for Minera Antamina and Rio Algom Ltd. and brings experience in all aspects of financial analysis including liquidity management, budgeting, long term planning, metals trading, insurance procurement and economic valuation of mining projects. Mr. Couturier is a dual Peruvian / Canadian citizen who is fluent in Spanish and English. He holds a BSc. in Geological Engineering from Queen’s University and an MBA from McGill University.
Mr. Dasso joined Pan American Peru in 1995 and currently oversees all operations. He brings 27 years of experience to the Company, including 8 years with Amax in Honduras, 9 years with SIMSA, and extensive experience as an operator at base metal mines in Bolivia. Mr. Dasso obtained his B.Sc. Mining Engineering at the University of Missouri at Rolla in 1977. He is currently a Board member of SIMSA, as well as a Director of the Peruvian Mining and Petroleum Society SNMP.
Mr. Delgado joined Pan American Silver in July 2011. He is a Metallurgical Engineer and holds a Master in Sciences degree from the Colorado School of Mines. During his career he has assumed different positions in the areas of operations, metallurgical laboratory and project management working for Yanacocha mine in Peru, Newmont Technical Facilities in Denver USA, and recently developing a multimillion gold and silver ounces project with a Canadian junior company in Colombia. He has over 10 years of experience with silver, gold and copper operations and projects, working with a variety range of ore types, from free milling ore bodies to complex sulphide refractory ores.
Mr. Dupuis joined Pan American Silver in mid 2010 as Director of Geology. He brings 18 years of experience in the mining industry both in Canada and internationally. Prior to joining Pan American Mr. Dupuis held positions with Gammon Gold, De Beers Canada, High River Gold, and Harmony Gold. He holds a BSc in Geology from Brock University in St Catharines Ontario.
Mr. Fisher joined Pan American Silver Corp. in April 2008, after having previously been the general counsel at two Vancouver-based junior mining companies. Mr. Fisher began his career as an associate in the securities and corporate law group of a top-tier national law firm, where he honed his legal skills and gained valuable experience with public companies, capital markets and securities laws. He received both his Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor degrees from the University of British Columbia and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2003.
Mr. Greer, a mining engineer with 32 years of industry experience, joined Pan American Silver Corp. in March 2007 as Director of Projects, and led the engineering, construction, and commissioning of the San Vicente Project in Bolivia in 2007/2008. From 2009 to 2012, George oversaw the successful completion of the Morococha Relocation Phase I Project in Peru, and led the early engineering, PEA and feasibility study work for Pan American Silver’s Navidad Project in Argentina. George’s experience prior to joining Pan American includes 22 years with Inco Ltd. in various locations, including Sudbury ON, Thompson MB, and at the Voisey’s Bay Project in Newfoundland. He has also worked for Lac Minerals/Barrick Gold at the El Indio Mine in Chile from 1993 to 1996, first as Manager of Technical Services and afterwards as Mine Manager, Underground. Mr. Greer’s background brings together a combination of engineering, operations, and project management experience. He is a 1981 graduate of Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario with a degree in mining engineering, and received his Project Management Professional designation in 2004.
Mr. Hally joined Pan American as Financial Controller in July, 2008 before being appointed Director, Finance in 2011. Mr. Hally previously worked with Meridian Gold as Financial Manager at their flagship gold mining operations in Antofagasta, Chile and at Yamana Gold as Director of Accounting. He brings to Pan American extensive experience in financial analysis, business opportunity evaluations and administration of mining operations in Latin countries. Mr. Hally is a Chartered Accountant who gained early experience in KPMG’s mining group, speaks Spanish, and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Honours) from Royal Roads University.
Ms. De Mark joined Pan American Silver in late 2010 as Director, Resources. She brings 16 years of experience in the international mining industry, including ten years as a production and resource geologist in underground mines and four years as a resource consultant with Snowden Mining Industry Consultants. Ms. De Mark has a range of practical and theoretical experience with grade control, mine reconciliation, geological interpretation, geostatistical data analysis, resource estimation, NI43-101 compliant technical reporting, due diligence studies, and technical audits. She holds a B. App. Sc. in Applied Geology (Honours) from the University of Technology, Sydney.
Mr. McAleer first joined Pan American Silver Corp. in 2006 as General Manager of the Alamo Dorado mine. He held the position of Country Manager, Mexico, from 2008 until February of 2010, when he was appointed Vice President, Human Resources and Security. Mr. McAleer has extensive experience in Latin America and speaks fluent Spanish. Before joining Pan American Silver he spent over fifteen years working with the mining, consulting, and consumer products industries in various management roles. Mr. McAleer completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and holds Master’s degrees in Business Administration from the University of Chile in Santiago and Tulane University.
Ms. Moretto joined Pan American Silver in 2008. She completed her communications degree in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and has more than 20 years’ worth of experience in the communications field with prestigious media outlets in her native country.
Building upon her vast experience as a coach in media training, she has focused her career on Corporate Social Responsibility for the past years. Ms. Moretto holds a CSR Professional certification issued by the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment, IEMA. Her Sustainability Management degree at the University of British Columbia is in progress.
Mr. Park joined Pan American as Director, Internal Audit in August 2007. He brings experience in consulting and audit work, after 10 years in Big-4 firms (Arthur Andersen, Ernst & Young Peru, Ernst & Young Canada), in assignments in Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, and Venezuela.
He is a Certified Internal Auditor, with a Bachelor in Science degree in Industrial Engineering (Peru), and has an MBA from Universidad de Piura (Peru) / Instituto de Estudios Superiores de la Empresa de la Universidad de Navarra (Spain) (Lima) and a Master in Education.
He speaks Spanish, Korean and English
Mr. Quijano joined Pan American Silver in 2006 after more than 17 years working and residing in several South American countries such as Ecuador, Chile, Venezuela and Peru. His last assignment before joining Pan American was with Crystallex International in Las Cristinas project in Venezuela, where he worked two years as Chief geologist and Rio Tinto in Chile, Ecuador, where he worked thirteen years as senior geologist. He has extensive experience managing the geological function of a wide range of base and precious metal and green and brownfield exploration projects. He has evaluated projects throughout South, Central and North America. Mr. Quijano holds a Geologist from Universidad Central del Ecuador and M.Sc. in Economic Geology from the Universidad Catolica del Norte, Antofagasta, Chile
Mr. Quijano is responsible for exploration programs of Pan American Silver.
Mr. Vincent joined Pan American as Controller in April, 2004. He has over 19 years of experience in the mining industry and has extensive experience in SEC, internal audit, financial reporting and accounting systems. Mr. Vincent was formerly the Controller and Chief Accounting Officer for Coeur d’Alene Mines Corporation for 7 years. Mr. Vincent holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Idaho and is currently a licensed CPA.
Mr. Wafforn joined Pan American early in 2004, bringing 24 years of mining engineering experience to the Company. He has worked a range of positions in underground mines in South Africa, the UK and across Canada, supervising all facets of mine engineering, operations, construction and development. Mr. Wafforn spent the last 15 years with Homestake and then Barrick Gold after its takeover of Homestake. As Manager of Mine Engineering for Barrick’s global operations, Mr. Wafforn provided engineering expertise to mines and projects around the world. He holds a B.Sc Mining Honours from the Camborne School of Mines in England.
