Mr. Wafforn joined Pan American early in 2004, bringing 24 years of mining engineering experience to the Company. He has worked a range of positions in underground mines in South Africa, the UK and |
across Canada, supervising all facets of mine engineering, operations, construction and development. Mr. Wafforn spent the last 15 years with Homestake and then Barrick Gold after its takeover of Homestake. As Manager of Mine Engineering for Barrick's global operations, Mr. Wafforn provided engineering expertise to mines and projects around the world. He holds a B.Sc Mining Honours from the Camborne School of Mines in England.
