Pan American's Ross Beaty Elected President Of Silver Institute
Pan American Silver Corp. (Nasdaq -- PAAS; TSE -- PAA) announces the election of its Chairman and CEO, Ross Beaty, to President of The Silver Institute for a two-year term. The Silver Institute is based in Washington, D.C. and was founded in 1971 as a non-profit international association of miners, refiners, fabricators and users of silver.
The Silver Institute helps develop and market silver uses, researches new silver applications, and publishes market statistics on production, distribution and consumption of silver. Publications include the annual World Silver Survey, one of the most comprehensive commodity research studies available, and Silver News, a bi-monthly newsletter exploring trends in the silver industry. The Institute's marketing branch, Silver Trust International promotes silver demand through advertising, public relations and market research.
